For those of you still keeping track

The bathroom remains..... UNFINISHED.

One big task for this evening is to go to Lowes and pick out the crown moulding for the gaps around the ceiling. There are several things that piss me off about this.

1. We have already picked out the moulding once and given the info to Lowes. But because they use contractors, we have to pick it out again and give it to the contractor because apparently it's not in the computer. Why isn't it in the computer? Because everyone at Lowes is hired for their ability to spite their customers.

2. And this is the really big one. It means we have to go to Lowes. I hate Lowes. And not a little bit. First of all, it is cavernous and designed to make you feel like you are insignificant and therefore need them. Secondly, and maybe it's just me here, but the birds that nest and live in there give me the wiggins. I can hear them the whole time and it makes my skin crawl to know they are all around me. Another thing I hate about Lowes though, and here I am not alone, is the fact that you can never find anyone to help you. Last time, we stood in the moulding section for, and I am not kidding here, 15 fucking minutes, while the little pleasant voice announced "Special assistance needed in the moulding and trim area. Special assistance needed in the moulding and trim area." Finally I went out to another aisle, grabbed someone and told him we needed help. He asked if we'd pushed the button. I wanted to ask if he'd like to live, but restrained myself. Because every time is like that. If you do find a human, they invariably work in a different section and can't help you. Or whoever you need just went on break. How many god damned breaks do these people need? They don't do any damned work. Is it that they need to rest from hiding from people? Finally, the last thing I hate about Lowes is parking there. It is always a sea of SUVs and trucks. And I don't own either. So backing out of a space is always a leap of faith because I am always totally blind. And when I do back out, there is often someone there, slamming on his or her breaks and shaking a fist at me because I am pulling out into their way. And then when I finally make it out, the same angry asshole takes my space.

So that's about to me my late afternoon early evening. Oh joy!
